Making a bit of headway, but I got to run to the store and buy some more welding wire.

Unfortunately this welder right here is my only choice right now, but I'm making it happen. With a Millermatic 211, I'm actually somewhat competent.

I ran to the junkyard over lunch today, and picked up this mint floor mat for 8 bucks.

Last night I just chucked the seat back in and sprayed some etch primer on the welds.

I still need to seal up edges, but I'll do that tonight.

So I got the floor mat in, and I got to say that it looks almost factory.

I of course did have to cut some some holes for the shifters, and I sort of botched it around the Tcase, but I'm not too worried about it.

The next thing I want to fix is the 4wd, and all I need for that is to figure out the pinout of the Tcase sensor.

As it happens, this Tcase is has a different sensor and connector to the original (the sensor doesn't interchange).

The truck has a 3 wire connector while this Tcase has a 2 wire one. I've heard that the 3rd wire is for the transmission to change its shift program for 4 low, so I think I can just graft the 2 pin connector on there and forget about that 3rd wire (* manual transmission). Can anyone tell me this for sure?

By the way, I forgot to take a picture, but I did in fact seal up the floor with some seam sealer while at work (Lunch).

I then Flex Sealed right over it to add some sound deadening (both sides).

So we had a bit of an adventure when the whole family was driving home after visiting my grandparents for christmas.

We took two cars, my dads '22 F350, and the old Busurban. Guess which one actually made it home.

We're still not quite sure what went wrong, but it's something with the emissions system that wont let the truck start.

The truck is still under warrenty, so he had it towed to the ford dealer. Meanwhile, all 5 of us (+2 large dogs) and a whole bunch of luggage had to cram into the Suburban and drive 3.5 hours home.

It was quite the throwback to the maroon '97 K1500 Suburban we used to have growing up (except that truck actually had some options).

What's wrong with it (other than that it's a Phord). This is why I don't like later model stuff...but it least it's under warranty.
Rawhide is down with brake problems (that I coulda taken care of yesterday if it hadn't started raining!). So we are Burb-ing as well! Only three of us, but the cargo area is being used for storage, so it's still pretty full. But it fired right up once I put the battery back in(the one out of the crew cab that I warrantied at Sam's Club before Thanksgiving and hadn't been able to get back in the Burb before yesterday!).

So the 'Ol Burban didn't start this morning, in fact I killed a battery cranking it.

It's always been pretty temperamental in the cold, but it still started when it was -10F out, and it was like 34F when failed me. It cranked and fired, but I could never get it to fully kick over, the fuel pump is an AC Delco one (probably still made in china) I put in it about 2 years ago (3/4 tank of gas) but it isn't kicking over.

I think I know what it is, the fuel pressure regulator finally failed (or something in the general vicinity). Anyways, I have a contingency plan in place just for this eventuality.
I'll make the truck EMP proof, with an intake, Carb, and an HEI distributor. The truck never ran right anyways with its hacked together exhaust and lack of cats.

What do you guys think I should do? Probably put a pressure gauge on the fuel line? Though, I bet the issue us is with the regulator inside the intake manifold. I know its possible to do the regulator without pulling the whole manifold, but this truck has 300k on it, and I have to top it off with coolant every now an then (Its quite obvious where its going). Thats why I'm pulling the whole damn thing apart, but wait, I don't have any tool anymore, they all burned up!!

Anyways, the Burb might be parked for the rest of the winter because of this, and I might buy myself another vehicle as the GMC is in dire need of a camshaft and lifters.

Okay, since I need the truck back, I think I'm going to try pulling the upper intake manifold off tonight and go from there. I might just do pressure regulator for now, or maybe take it the rest of the way apart.

Would you spend $250 on new injectors at this point? Or could I just get away with cleaning them somehow?
