Wasn't sure of the best place to post this...

I have a 97 C3500, bone stock. Currently running stock size 225/75/16 and wanting to go up to 265/75/16. I know I'll need a spacer in the rear, but wondering if I'll have any rubbing issues up front at stock height?
I've seen a couple of places online with people running this size on a k3500, but I don't know if the ride height is the same on 2wd and 4x4 one tons.

2WD vs 4WD are different ride heights. 265s will most likely rub, since the 4WD is higher up from the ground to clear the 265s, your best bet is to stay with 225s, or possibly bump up to a 235. 245s are too wide w/o spacers in the rear (in the rear, both tires will touch together, which is not good), but do not rub, so you could get those too...

Maybe others might chime in on this if they work or not. :) I am guessing 265s will most likely rub, because they are taller.

Im coming from the 4wd world. I run 265 stock in the front. I ran 235's in the rear but they had to be fully inflated all the time otherwise they would rub. If they dropped an even 60 PSI the side walls were touching. Obviously that will depend upon the brand of tire as well. I now run 265 is all the way around with a two and a half inch spacer on a rear. I only run that white of the spacer because I like to run tire chains in the winter time. I could have got away with an inch and a half and been okay.

Can you post a picture of your truck? How far does the outside tire stick out of the fender?

Starting to look like 245/75/16 with small rear spacers is my most sensible option for immediate replacements.

Looks like the only option for spindles for this truck are 4.5" of lift, not really interested in going that tall. Might do the 2" coil spacers but that's it.
I'm mostly just trying to make this truck slightly more capable off-road for camping trips. So a little more height and tread width is what I'm after

So your suspension is otherwise stock? Maybe I can clear the 265s after all with just coil spacers. You're not running any additional spacers on the front wheels right?

Completely stock, no front spacer but like I said, I'm 4wd.

Looks good. Still debating 235/75/16, 255/85/16 and now I guess 265/75/16.

Is your front cranked at all. Doesn’t look much higher than a 2wd.

235's and 265's are the same height. I ran 235's in the rear and 265's in the front for awhile and I used 4wd many times without issues.
