my truck has a Cd holder in place of the old radio. Looks like it came that way stock. I just use it to put my wallet and phone in.

i would try to get something like that but i dont use a wallet and my phone is on my belt. and as far as cds go, i change them like every 2 months so others there in the dash isnt really good for me. i guess the big plus is that i don't have to search for that part.

Maybe a double guage pod though if you have the factory guages it would be pointless unless you want other guages. Or toggle switches. I love aircraft style toggle switches and I am thinking of that since I have the CD holder.

that pocket is hard to find? my 88 has one and I was gonna put my gauages in there, if it's hard to find I'll yank it and make a plate then sell the pocket maybe lol.
