Spring for Sealed Beam Headlight

I am installing some sealed beam headlights on my K2500. There is a spring that mounts to the radiator support and then is supposed to attach somewhere on the sealed beam mounting plate.

Spring:

You must be registered for see images attach

Mounting Plate:

You must be registered for see images attach

I cannot figure where on the mounting plate the spring goes. There are two holes on the bottom of the mounting plate, but those are where the screws go for the retaining ring.

So, I have no idea where the spring would go.

I think I figured it out. The mounting plates are the same for both sides. Notice that there are two grooves on the bottom, on the outside of each bottom screw hole.
