I was told it couldn't be done but I see people putting a s10 torque converter on and it working. So I was wondering what all I would have to do to do this cam?

They are right it can't be done-with the stock valve springs and retainers. Stock vortec heads will only allow .480 lift. The LT4 hot cam with the 1.6 rockers is .525 lift. You can get appropriate valve springs and retainers to .550 lift. The converter is to get the truck into the rpm range of the cam without the acceleration feeling "lazy" out of the hole.
