1996 Silverado K2500 HD with NVG 4500 5-speed tranny (the cast iron case tranny). The reverse lights no longer work. I'm not sure when it happened. I happened to notice it one night. I have checked the "easy" stuff. Bulbs are both good; no blown fuses; verified no voltage coming to the bulbs; no visible damage to the wiring harness; and checked wiring continuity from the lamps to the connector underneath the bed. Things are pointing to the reverse switch being the culprit.

Problem is, I can't seem to find the dang switch. The one Chilton Manual I have doesn't show where the switch is located on the transmission. Is it my luck that this thing is located on top of the transmission? Meaning I have to drop the tranny to get at it?

Thanks for your help...
