I'm putting a new rad in my truck and am wondering if I should flush it and if so how do I flush the coolant?

Preston makes a flush kit that installs on the heater hose. I have used these kits for years, and they do a decent job. You can find these at your local auto parts store. The instructions come with the kit.

If the heater core returns to the radiator in your truck, skip the Preston kit..... it will only flush the heater core. What I do is disconnect, and extend the upper hose at the radiator, and pull the thermostat. I then run the engine keeping the radiator full with the hose.
