Hood -will it fit?

Have located a 1998 GMC Sierra hood, hopefully in the same colour as my truck, a 1990 Chev 1500.

I’m hoping to swap mine out for the one from the ‘98 GMC Sierra.

Are the hoods the same, year to year, and between Chev & GMC? Anyone know?

They are all the same. When you go to order a hood, they are listed 1988-1998.

Yes 400 truck hoods and outer fenders are the same. When you get into the later model trucks ( GMT 800 series and newer), then there are differences between Chevy and GMC. Get newer than an 06 truck and the whole front clips are different for pickups and SUVs. Yet another reason I like my old truck......
