Well my truck is getting 14 it's a 97 305 4.11's and 285/70r17's. It has a slight misfire and leaking injectors. But also the speedo is 2mph fast.

I'm wondering if everyone's good or bad fuel mileage has something to do with the speedometer being off.

It may have been that my step in size was minimal, but my Speedo is maybe 1~ mph off. GPS and Speedo match each other, so I assume my self-calc mpg is accurate.

comparing mileage figures between vehicles is nearly pointless. Everything from vehicle configuration, to driver habits, to usage, to maintenance and condition, to geography changes it. PLus a couple dozen other factors I haven't mentioned.

A "range" is the best you can hope for.

10-15 is a reasonable expectation for the OP. 15 being a high side number when everything is just right on the highway...

Water?????? you're lucky I'm hoping mine can hold up to the slush that keeps building up in places and the clamps that aren't tight enough :rotflmao: I blame myself for that
