Hey guys! My name is James and my dad bought a new 1990 K2500 HD RCLB Silverado back in 1989. He specially ordered this truck and I have dreamed of owning it from the time he brought it home. Well, my dad has finally decided to give it to me since he doesn't drive it anymore. I am picking it up this Saturday. I don't know what I will be doing to it yet (if anything), it is mostly stock with 140,000 miles. It has a 350 tbi, Th400 trans, 14 bolt rear end with the C6P (8500 GVWR) package. The following pics are from 2010 and I will post more after Saturday.

:welcome: Good looking truck! The only things I would do are remove the running boards, 95+ mirrors, and crank and block.

That is a very pretty truck and awesome to keep it in the family. Just a correction it isn't and HD just a K2500. Only way you could have a true HD in an OBS was the 3500HD chassis cab

Thanks guys! But it is a HD...window sticker states "1990 HD Fleetside Pickup 4wd" and according to the 1990 brochure page 29 there are two versions of the C/K 2500. 2500 has a GVWR of 7500 lbs. and 2500 C6P has a 8600 lbs. GVWR along with higher capacity springs, larger brakes, etc. The brochure has separate specifications charts for both 2500's, and it states that the "C6P is a heavy duty chassis" under the chart.

The light duty was a 6 lug, the heavy duty (HD) was 8 lug. This one is the heavy duty version of a 2500.
