Has anyone used an external crank trigger. Specifically a magnetic wheel with the GM sensor to send a signal to the ECM? I have a double roller timing chain in my stroker and am going to try this

I'd get rid of the double-roller chain 'n' sprockets LONG before I went to an aftermarket/fabricated external crank sensor system. "Crank Trigger" systems work fine, when you're only going 1/4 mile at a time.

No telling what sort of crap/dirt/mist/road-splash will fly up off the road and interfere with the external sensor and reluctor.

I’ve had many issues with a single chain setup over the years and never had 1 with a double roller is why I went in that direction. I guess I’ll keep you posted
