Code 81 check engine light 2-3 solenoid

I have an 81 code on my truck that only turns on the check engine light when going above 45 or so. Anybody else have the same problem?

Transmission shift solenoid (SS), 2nd-3rd – circuit malfunction

Wiring, SS, ECM

My 95 had code 82, was a tough one to solve.
The GM manuals have a good trouble shooting section for the code(s).
you pretty much have to prove everything out, before ECM replacement since failure is rare.

mine turned out to be the ECM.

How hard was it to troubleshoot that? Did you have to pin out and check resistance on the wires?

wasn't hard, just time consuming.
