Chrome Ignition Lever

I want to swap out that lever around the ignition switch in my 94 (The black plastic type) with the chrome lever from an 82 truck. I want to do the same with the turn signal lever. anybody done this? Know how to get it apart? I just dont want to @%$# up my steering column or anything like that.

If you are talking about replacing the Ignition Lock Cylinder/Assembly, you usually need to pull the steering wheel to get it out. The chrome outer part it isn't a separate part. A new one is only 10-20 bucks at a parts store and might save you having to go back in there in the near future. The turn signal lever on some models can be replaced without doing the entire Multi-function switch but you'd probably be better off doing it with the wheel off to run the wiring (cruise control).
