Any help on identifying

Good morning y'all I have a leak and when I went under inspect I found this hole. Upon research some people had said it was a transfer case drain but this hole almost seems like a puncture mark. I have attached picture for reference thanks in advance for all the help.

From the picture it looks like the flywheel torque converter shield. Looks like a drain hole in case you have a leak out drains out. Oil would be a rear seal. Atf would be front seal in transmission

Drain hole, machine made. It's a bowl, don't want it filling up. And any leaks will show.
