88-98 vs 99-06 speakerbox???

Has anyone placed a 99-06 under backseat speaker box in a 98 extended cab? What is the fitment difference vs the 88-98 version? Thanks

New body style is deeper from front to back, sticks out alot more than the front of the back seat, also if I remember rite, the trans tunnel cutout is a bit different.

There are some cheaper ones but definantly not worth it imho. The ground shakers are pretty solid for thier price range
