4l80e question

hello, i was hoping someone could help me out, im hoping that i can strike gold in a junk yard some time or find someone who doesnt know what they have, what vehicles did the 4l80e come in?

i think only 3/4 and 1 ton gmt400's almost any truck with a 454 92 or newer. same for the gmt800s with a 6.0 3/4 tons

Yeah look for 3/4 and 1 ton's with small block, big block, or diesel, if it's a diesel you will have to get a gas torque convertor, the diesel uses a different stall speed than gas.

the reason why i was to start looking for one is because i built my 4l60e and it can handle the 250hp all day long but i think an LS swap is going to come up soon and if i do then imma wanna go with a larger cam and what not and i know that even built 4l60es dont last forever when you some horsepower infront of it and considering that ive replace my 4l60e 4 times, i dont wanna do it everytime it blows

These guys claim 1000 rwhp with a warranty. I'd say you can build one to handle any LS motor out there that's not on 30lbs. of boost.
