Just bought a 94 GMC 1500 4x4 last night. It needs tires. I own a set of new BFG275/65/20. The question is do I buy wheels 20x 8.5 or 9 (I don't want it hanging out) for those and will that be a challenge suspension wise?
Or just go with a 285/70 or 75 on the 16"s?

I don't want to have to do a bunch of suspension work.

Here’s 285/75 16 on stock rims for reference. Seller put these on new before I purchased. This is the day I picked up my truck 3 years ago.

285s on stock or throw some 20” Denali wheels on it is my vote. I’ve always wanted a set of these but my personal preference is the smaller wheels on older trucks.

If you want to go the 20” route you could find some nice GM takeoffs for much cheaper than new tires
