Newbie to the site and wanted to introduce my current project...my 1988 GMC Sierra RCSB. It was purchased last October for $800 and was on a farm in NJ and had some field mice making it their home. As soon as I got it home I stripped out the nasty bench seat and carpet and scrubbed down the inside of the cab several times to get the stink out of there. Shortly after I work on the stock 5.7 TBI and got it running pretty good for now, next I ordered the McG's 4/6 with the notch and picked up some Summit Sport Shocks to go with my DJM shock extenders out back. While removing all of the stock suspension it was evendent that all the front end parts needed to be replaced so I went ahead and bought all Moog replacement parts, even replaced the rear leaf spring bushings as well. After the front end rebuild and drop install, I went ahead and coated the rear section of the frame with POR 15. During this process I decided to do the grill swap from my 88 to a 94 GMC grill along with the DDM kit with new TYC headlights and DEPO turn signal housings. While in the midst of the grill swap I also found some bumpers on CL, one stock chrome with the valance and a smoothie bumper. Smoothie was installed with the valance and completed the front end upgrade. Currently I have the dash out of the truck and sanding it down to paint, I will also be going through the heater box to replace the core and the acuator that makes that nasty noise every time the key is turned on. Plans for the interior is to lay down some Dynamat or Raam mat to deaden any outside noise along with new carpet, door seals, window weatherstripping and so on. Now on the to pics!

It's been awhile since I've updated, went on our annual Lake Anna trip for a week and my body man says he's ready for the first coat of primer!

Welded up the tailgate filler, I had to get another tailgate since I f'ed up the original one. I warped the crap out of it during my first attempt.

Took the doors off so he could cut in the door jambs.

I got the bed back on today. I think my cab is off a little, the gap between the cab and bed on the passenger side looks good but the drivers side is to wide. Looks like I'll be replacing the body mounts on the cab as well. Still need to buy the LED tailights and waiting on the Precision Grille to get the front end back together. Hopefully my bodyman finishes up this week.

Small update...I had the new windshield and the original back glass put in on Friday. So today I picked up a used/like new under rail GM bedliner off of C-list and decided to pop the old tail lights in and take a few pics. Body man hasn't cut and buffed it out yet due to some imperfections he wants to fix and the fuel oil tank in the shop was leaking so we had no heat for a week or so.
