98 5.7 vortec swap into 1996 k1500
I have a 1996 Chevy k1500 that had a 4.3 vortec v6 with an nv3500 behind it I pulled the v6 out and put a 5.7 vortec v8 with the wiring harness and ecm from the 1998 Chevy pickup it was pulled out of. I got everything hooked up and ran wires to the starter with a button start it there’s no codes...- Andyn_Turner21

Info wanted on V6 to V8 swap please
So I have a 96 K1500 4.3 right. Due to the fact you can't find motor mounts for this particular truck, I was thinking of putting a 5.7 vortec in it. I have searched the forum some and come up empty handed. Certainly this swap has been done before right? I mean not a carbed 350 but vortec...- RollingTerd
