frame shortening

K2500 long box frame chop
Looking at a k2500 rcsb right now. Buddy said they only had to chop some off the rear of the frame. I thought when chopping frame some had to be taken out under the cab and at the end of the frame. If anyone had any info on this that’d be great!- Obsls94
