I’m a DA…what maintenance have you screwed up?

Righty tighty, Lefty loosey, even if you are upside down...still, an easy mistake to make.

Pulled intake manifold to change gaskets

With 17 owners, you are best off just assuming ZERO maintenance has been performed. Change all fluids, filters, plugs and wires, at least. Take a close look at your belts, brakes, shocks, and all bushings. You may have already done this....

On Ebay, nice used ones from trucks/Burbs are running around $120 to $175. The one's I looked at were in good condition. Just to give you an idea.

    Paycheck again at 71?

All the other stuff aside, at your (and my) age, if you don't need the job, and it will be aggravating to work it, DON'T. If you don't need the money, you certainly can do without the aggravation...

    Sudden rumbling/vibration while driving. HELP!

Did you check your gauges while it was running? It sounds like you lost a lot of oil, and possibly coolant. First thing I would check is oil pressure and temp. What does your dipstick read? Is the radiator dry? Clean up the oil as best you can from every part of the engine. Make sure your oil...

    Better gas mileage and performance.

With 19, you are doing well. What fuel are you using? If you are using premium, you don't need it, and can save money that way.

    Improved handling

If you are running the stock offset, it should be okay to put in 1/2" spacers to give you a slightly wider track. I don't know if that would cause the tires to scrub in turns, though. Just throwing out an idea.

    Ca smog legal 383 stroker

The smog stations are primarily schooled for, and looking for, intake or exhaust mods, and sniffer test results. Do not change the air filter, or add any stickers. They don't know a 383 from a 350, or likely even a 283. Just don't give them any reason to dig deeper, and you will be okay.

    Dad's '98 Resto

This is one of the coolest posts I have ever read here. I hope you like it when it is done. I also hope you don't repaint it...it has so much character in it original skin. Good luck with everything.

    No oil pressure at idle

I believe it was the plug he was referring to that had the shavings on it, and maybe he cleaned it up. Hard to follow all of this.

    Travel Trailer help

I would, but I have good tires, and 4 wheel disc brakes. The problem with that trailer is the single axle, which is really weak on braking. 4 smokin' tires is better than 2...

    Travel Trailer help

Go to poprvsdotcom to look at dozens of good used trailers, 3500 pounds or less. Keep the total load under 4000 pounds and the 3.42 will be fine if you add an larger auxiliary tray cooler. Easy to do for about $60, maybe a bit more. Really, if your trailer weighs 3300, there is no reason to...

    Travel Trailer help

There are SO MANY trailers that weigh 3500 pounds, or less, available. Generally made after about 2005. Some are up to 24 feet, and well-equipped. Go to poprvs.com...they have so many parameters you can select from, and almost every unit lists the dry weight at the bottom of the listing. Many...

    Factory console lid

Phan, I don't know how to remove it, but slip on covers are all over Ebay. If you look for it by the size, you will likely get some hits...like "10 x 7 console pad". I know they are on there for the humongous Ford lid, Subaru, Porsche, etc. I'm sure you can find one. Good luck.
