    When you say won't start do you mean won't fire and run or will not crank? Your comment regarding the battery leads me to suspect that it doesn't crank but that's a whole different diagnosis pathway than the idle/stall problem typically associated with not starting after a stall.

    Is the stiff pedal from the up position or only after being depressed some amount? If stiff from the up position the slave is locked up preventing the piston from moving.

    Monitor the fuel pressure to see if it drops before the engine stops. You should be able to get a fuel pressure tester from your local parts store for free on their tool loaner program. You mention the fuel pump is fairly new but did you also change the fuel filter?

    Continue to drive it until the tank gets low enough that you can drop it to change the fuel pump. If your check engine light does not illuminate for a short time when you turn on the key the bulb may be out.

    To center the valve, remove the switch and use a pick or small screw driver to move the spool such that the groove is centered in the switch opening, reinstall the switch.

    If the brake light is still on the prop valve is still off center and that is why there is no fluid to the rear. Try centering the valve and see if that allows the rear brakes to be bled.

    Sounds like you initial/base timing is off and it recovers when the ECM goes to closed loop and starts controlling the timing. Try resetting the base timing (wire disconnected) to spec (not sure what it is for that MY).

    Getting the air out of the ABS system is a real challenge without the scan tool. The best I could do was repeated panic stops on a grass surface to get the ABS to cycle after bleeding the ABS module manually.

    If you have an external oil cooler check the lines that run from the filter area to the cooler in the front. If one of them developed a crack the oil pump would spray oil all over until there was no more left to pump.
