Borg Warner electric synchronizer power?

On the K3500 with BW transfer, there is a red wire that powers the synchronizer in the transfer case. This power wire comes from a 4x4 relay under the hood, that only one ton Borg Warner trucks have (my understanding). Is this supposed to be powered while in 2wd or 4wd. A GM service book states...

1997 lever 4x4 k3500 4wd wiring schematic

Hi all. Looking for 1997 k3500 automatic with floor lever transfer case schematic. I am blowing 4x4 fuse even with actuator unhooked. I have replaced transfer case switch already. It won't blow fuse with the 4x4 relay unhooked under the hood. On a side note, this appears to have a red wire...

No speedometer until installing driveshaft.

Working on an auto 1997 k3500. After installing 2000 7.4l engine, and rebuilt tranny with a 1996 engine harness, I didn't have speedometer working. I assumed it was a wiring issue from the new 7.4 and 1996 wiring. I would put the truck in gear, with no rear driveshaft, and the speedo didn't...

1996 C100 wiring harness connector not matching 1997 C100 firewall

I am working on a 1997 k3500 auto 4x4. It had a bad 5.7, so I installed a 7.4l. I used the wiring harness from a 1996 k3500 7.4l 4x4 auto. The engine and tranny work well, but a few things aren't working, and it seems the c100 firewall connector are not the same from this 1996 wiring donor...
