Okay I pulled the cover and set the crank to TDC, I do see both lifters down and took off the distributor cap but it is already facing one. Does that mean it’s already in time?- bEnC10

Yeah I put the key in ACC and the fuel pressure jumped to 60~62 psi. While cranking, was getting ~58 psi but it never dropped below 55. Now when I clicked to ACC and left it there for about 5 min and the pressure slowly dropped from ~59 psi to 50 psi then kept dropping slow. I put a new fuel...- bEnC10

Ok so I spark tested and I do have spark to the spark plugs. My ECU is off of a 97 truck so I don’t have to worry about ECU. Guys honestly I’m at a loss, I feel like giving up. I don’t know what else it can be. Im going to take it to tune the ECU at a shop to see if it is actually the ECU. But...- bEnC10

I bought a new distributor with cap and rotor with wires and yeah I checked injector pulse so I don’t think it’s the cap. I have the old one still so I’ll slap it on there when I check if I flooded it. Even before when I first tried to start up the engine and barely connected the fuel pump, it...- bEnC10

I did get a new pair of spark plugs maybe 2 weeks ago when I put them in the block permanently but I can try some new ones. They came pre gapped .30 I think, anyway so I have spark, Compression and fuel. Could it be the ECU? Or any electrical component?- bEnC10

Spark plugs looked cleaner then I thought they would have been. They were a little black on the spark side but I just wiped it away. Also the compression was hitting 150+ on some of them but it was bc I was cranking for a little longer than I was for the other ones.- bEnC10

I’m currently checking the other side, but I did check injection pulse and I did get a signal. I saw the flash of the light. It wasn’t super bright, but it was there.- bEnC10

Okay so an update, I went to Harbor Freight and got a compression tester and a Test light. So far, I’ve done only one side of the engine (drivers side) and they all went above 130 psi of compression. Honestly I haven’t messed with that, the shop that I took my engine to to get rebuilt, they told me what everything was set to start all I needed to do was the accessories like alternator, water pump etc.. so I haven’t bothered to try it out. I haven’t done an actual compression test, but I personally didn’t rebuilt the engine. I took it to a shop and they gave it back to me as a long block. So I assumed that everything would be fine. Also what is the valve lash? Like with the lifters?- bEnC10
