What's the most comfortable seat you've found?

What company did you get those from? I got a "factory" bench in my 89 single cab that is no good for the road trips I take, I'd put buckets in but I need middle seat for when I have a couple passengers(not everyone likes riding in the bed, surprisingly)

Cross-platform parts that actually work in GMT400s

Anyone know if mirror part #A7062-ADUP1 is a direct swap in? Hard to find info on it, search feature here is less than helpful lol. I've got a compass console in my Cherokee and adding a compass mirror to my truck would be nice. A thermostat one would be even better, but I've seen the write ups...

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

I took the strong advice of several people on the forum here and got custom springs made at a local shop to match the 2" blocks in the rear. Very happy with the look and view from riding a bit higher, just gotta figure out how to make the ride a bit more comfy now, speed bumps are miserable

1989 GMC Sierra - Dash Lights

Did you check the fuse in the panel underneath the dash? In the panel below the steering wheel?

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

Been reading page after page here looking for ideas. I tried the 2" spacers to lift the front of my 1500, did not go well installing. Nothing but trouble, gave up after a few hours. My dad was telling me how he raised the front of his old Pontiac, using spring clamps flipped backwards. Just...

ABS delete / Proportioning valve bleeder tool / 1988 K1500

Personally when I deleted ABS, the proportioning valve didn't allow any fluid movement at all to the rear brakes. 88 C1500. I used a very similar thread adapter from local auto parts store. Everything was hooked up right but there just wasn't enough pressure without the ABS unit to actually open...

    Floor liners /Mats

I'm usually just a lurker, never posting much so forgive me if bringing an old thread back isn't the best to do. I've got these original GM floor mats I used to use in my El Camino, now very faded from the sun. These are the ones Holley is now reproducing and I'd like to know if anyone has...

    Basic Tbi 5.7 Build Help

Tbh I never even bothered to check what the stock intake was made of lol, was repainted by previous owner with rattle can. But good to know about the ship time, guess I'll have to backorder now

    Basic Tbi 5.7 Build Help

I've been looking at getting these heads but waiting for them to be back in stock, are these alone a solid upgrade? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-3704 Figured this intake would pair well too, don't wanna be using iron intake and aluminum heads.

NEW! Big 3 Wiring Upgrade Kits

I suggest reading the whole thread here. Mean green hasn't been seen in years. Go look at the thread linked in 5vortec7's comment right above yours for good info on big 3.

98 ABS Delete - proportioning valve wire?

I've read endless threads about how removing the ABS part that goes between the MC and proportioning valve greatly improves pedal feel. Additionally, some people like myself just don't like the feel of ABS when braking. Personally, I live somewhere that gets almost no ice so it hasn't exactly...

Strange clicking from passenger side dash area

Do you hear it more behind the center of dash or under the glove box, down by heater box? How long does it click for, since "a while" is pretty generic of a description. My guess with what you've said so far is it's one of the 2 blend door actuators on that side of the car.

Warm air coming out the vents when set on cool!

Just to follow up, I don't know if your issue has been resolved or not, but I learned there are 3 blend doors actuators, the one under the dash on the right side is the one you want(controls taking in outside air vs inside air). Buried behind the cover door and a few other things, real pain to...

Tech: 88-89 GMT400 Quad Sealed Beam upgrades (Bosch T84 E-code headlights)

Our pick n pull has been picked clean it seems, all headlights gone or gutted from every GMT they had, except a few composite headlight sets. Am trying to keep the 4 lights, just want to upgrade the weak low beams right now

    Power antenna.

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but honestly if anyone's looking at putting a power antenna into an OBS truck, should start with an aftermarket head unit first. Those almost always have a pinout for signaling a powered antenna.

Tech: 88-89 GMT400 Quad Sealed Beam upgrades (Bosch T84 E-code headlights)

LMC seems to be having some issues with that. It says in stock on the website, but contacting customer support, they seem to think it isn't in stock. Anyone have any other ideas since LMC can't seem to get it together?

Tech: 88-89 GMT400 Quad Sealed Beam upgrades (Bosch T84 E-code headlights)

I've got an 89 with quad sealed beams. If I get the LMC ones suggested earlier in the thread, will I have to splice wires and buy separate bulbs, or are they plug and play? Am looking to upgrade my low beams first and highs later on if the difference is that significant with the lows. Also...

    4 Hi Headlight Mod

Single relay to keep low beams on with the high. I would have gone for self resetting breaker, but with this setup, even if the fuse goes out I still have power to the low beams independently. I am not sure if it will impact the high beams or not, could just pull the fuse to check what effect...

    4 Hi Headlight Mod

Finally got around to wiring this up myself with lots of great ideas from the others in this thread. Always thought it looked funny with only the inside high beams on, but now everything's working just how it should have been from the factory and I couldn't be happier. Tapped into power at the...

    Noisy interior a/c heater controls

Assuming you're referring to the blend door motor, that clicking noise would be the motor grinding/skipping gears, broken teeth and all. I suggest replacing all the motors (3 total to the best of my knowledge) and go from there. Here's a diagram, there are other threads around the site that are...

Warm air coming out the vents when set on cool!

I know this is an old thread, but figured I could help anyone else who came across it. That blend door actuator will usually make a grinding sound when it's not working properly, and the sound is the ground off teeth skipping internally. They're literally just plastic/vinyl gears in there. I...

    Stiff gas pedal?

I had a similar issue as described here. It was really hard to even just back out of my driveway without jerking my head. Changing the cable and greasing the pivot points for the pedal, as suggested here, makes it real smooth now. O'Rielly carries a Pioneer brand cable that has worked well for...

    Oil pressure issue

I had a few issues with oil pressure gauge jumping around when idle after warming up, replacing both sensors(one behind distributor and one underneath the car, near the bell housing). Your problem isn't quite the same as mine but I'd suggest replacing those sensors just so you can rely on them...
