    The distributor is not the original OEM one, but it is a OEM replacement, not a rebuilt. I've been stranded due to a MSD distributor. My replacement is a Delphi distributor "OEM". It is however the same one I've been using.

    What RPM are you idling at. Before I did the swap i was getting 40psi at idle to 60psi at 2000rpm +. I'm about to adjust the throttle so i can idle closer to 1k RPM at idle while in gear with it being warmed up.

    The truck does come with a factory oil cooler. I had 5w synthetic blend, drained it and put in 10w conventional oil it now. In hopes that the pressure would come up.

    Yes sir, I installed a mechanical gauge on the same port as the sensor. The pressure on the mechanical shows about 8 psi at it's lowest. If the cam bearing is spun what indications other than low oil pressure at idle?
