    The truck has hydroboost, not a fan. Thru a belt a few years ago, lost steering and brakes! Not fun at 70 mph. What brake controller would you guys suggest? I have a Redarc, The problem I see is if you don't start slowing down the accelarometer doesn't provide any braking.

    I have a 96 C3500 CC DRW, 7.4L 4L80E. I am looking for a brake upgrade for towing. I recently trailered a Trailblazer SS on a open trailer and it was kind of sketchy. I think I need a better brake controller as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Craig

    The A/C in the truck works sometimes. On initial startup it works. It works when I am driving. However if I get into traffic (stop and go) it stops working. Also if I stop for gas or at a store it doesn't work on starting the truck. Normally if I can drive several miles it starts working...

    C3500 Almost No Brake Pedal.

    I had a similar problem. Turned out I had a leaky rear axel seal. Replaced the seal cleaned everything up, adjusted the rear drums and now all is good.

    I was having soft brake issuesl, seems common on these trucks. Turned out to be a leaking rear axel seal. Replaced the seal cleaned everything up adjusted the brakes and all is well.

    Yes the L29 is port injection. But the intake is a limiting factor when trying to achieve more power. With a 4150 style intake modified to accept injectors in the intake runners it appears that the A/C line would interfere with the fuel rails for those injectors, they would be trying to occupy...

    I figured that. The problem I see is the A/C lines run down the drivers side over the edge of the intake. It looks like they would interefer with injectors or fuel rails if you tried to use port injection.

    Is it possible to use the L19 accessory drive on the L29? I'm wondering because this would shift the A/C compressor to the passenger side. Then you could replace the intake with a standard dual plane style intake. This would provide options for making more power. Just wondering Thanks Craig

    10 ft beds were available for fleet purchases. Not real common. If it is part of a fleet purchase that could also explain the narrow dually rear. You would to see the RPO codes to verify this.
