Look at my pics. You'll see a Curt hitch. It's a roll pan hitch. So I removed the spare and put the hitch in. I still need to cut the area behind the liscense plate to get access to it. Then I'll run an extended draw bar. You can get a flip up kit for your plate or just remove it to tow. Then...

Sorry for the delay. Work has been busy as all get out and I was out of town for work for a few weeks. Getting every so closer. Got a stainless hose kit for the soft lines, need to replace the hardlines on the rear while I'm in there. Wire wheeled the frame and hit it with Eastwood chassis...

    Worn out planetary gear

Hey just saw this. I used a stock convertor. One of the guys I bought my parts from online set me up. I wasn't looking for any crazy convertor. Motor is all stock. I just put all the HD stuff in cause I am constantly towing a boat, Seadoo's, or my utility trailer.

    Worn out planetary gear

The op planetary looks like a thrust bearing failure as mentioned. I had a similar situation in my 97 Yukon. I bought a video from technical video and the atsm manual and all the appropriate tools and rebuilt mine. Absolutely the most rewarding thing I've done. I did the Beast sun shell, 5 gear...

Started to reassemble. Hit a snag. Anyone run into the front socks not fitting thru the bottom on the control arm? The top of the shock didn't fit. I'm using the Belltech Street Performer shocks. Do I really need to remove that, put it inside the spring, then install the spring? Then...

Right side is off. Wire brushed the frame, sprayed it with Eastwood extreme chassis black primer, then sprayed the left side with Eastwood gloss chassis black . I think someone was in the front of this truck before. It has all standard light duty brakes. I swear it had the F44 option. Well, I...

Using some time off from work today. Was snowing out so I bagged work today and tomorrow. Brought the truck into my shop yesterday before the snow started. Got her up in the air and starting the deconstruction! These parts are worn out. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk

I think its time for new ball joint

Yep. That's what I used. I just used the harbor freight version. Sad thing is, the same one at eastwood is only $50. Wish I knew that before I went to harbor and re bought mine. Couldn't find my first one and bought another. Then was at Eastwood last Friday and saw how cheap they were for the...

More parts arriving. Got my new power stop calipers today. They should look nice poking thru my wheels. Waiting on new rear shackles and leaf spring bushings and I should be ready to start deconstruction. Need to find out exactly what master cylinder for the nbs upgrade and associated fittings...

Getting ever so closer. Ordered new calipers and rear shackles since mine look not so easy on the eyes. Also ordered front leaf spring bushings. So all the suspension less the rear springs will be new. Got one backing plate done tonight. The other is bead blasted, just need to out gas it and...

Back at again. Trying to wrap up the powder. When I bead blasted the Belltech parts you could see the rust underneath the paint they put on. I believe they call it powder coat but it came off like paint. I just want to try and keep this stuff from rusting as long as I can. So bead blasted them...

DJM spindles have arrived. Waiting on some fresh powder to arrive so I can do the other lower control arm. I'm gonna have to powder the spindles too. They're already rusting. Guess they have been on Summits shelves a while. Getting itchy to start this project but have to wait until everything is...

Cool, I'll measure up after work. I swapped in my other ball joint and it was tighter. So I'll check that out tonight. But I think I'm going to tack weld them to the arm and call it a day. Probably overly cautious. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
