    Rockers and body paint troubles

    The rocker panels might be the easy repair. Depending on what type of paint (an automotive grade paint or just a cheap spray paint) the previous owner used to achieve the flat black look. If it's the cheaper hardware store type rattle cans it will be a chore 2 sand off & repaint.

    I've got 20's on my '99 2dr with a 5/8 drop. Had 2 roll my fenders. Torque Thrust II's with 245/40 on the front & a 275/45 on the rear. With the drop you mention wouldn't think there'd be much problem.

    4/6 Drop Tire size.

    Have that size front tire on my tahoe with a 5/7 drop. Does rub on the outer portion of my A Arm when turned full lock. 275/45 (wanted a little more side wall) on the rear & no rubbing with them.

    The shop I took mine to did both Vinyl wraps & the clear bras. So there is a good chance a shop local to you would be able to take care of it.

    I actually had mine done at a shop that does vinyl wraps. But if you search "3m headlight protection" you can find it. I saw it on Amazon & almost went that route. But been so busy it was just easier 2 have it done.

    Have had good luck with 3m's adhesive remover as well. But its not a quick job.

    Honestly if it's installed correctly you can't even tell by looking that its on the lense. The only way you can tell is by running your finger on the edge of the lense & feeling the ridge of the film. I look at it as cheap insurance for a "rare" (in this country anyway) headlight setup.

    Since these headlights are both expensive & fairly hard to come by i decided after taking with Jim to have them protected with 3m headlight protection film. Both to protect the lenses from road debris & keep them from clouding up due to UV rays. Had a local Vinyl Wrap shop do the installation...

    My '99 2dr has this switch. But it doesn't seem to work. Pulled it out of the pillar, has & switches power when pushed. But still nothing. Is there a trick 2 make it work!?

    I was guessing they must be constructed in a similar manner as the style originally on our trucks. Really considering this. Would look great on my dropped 2dr tahoe. Any pairs still available or are they all spoken for?

    Will depend on your wheels backspace. Have 245/40 20 with 4.5" of backspace on the front of my 2dr Tahoe with a 5/7 drop. No problem with the fenders, but does rub on the a-arms when turned full lock.

    Could pull your fuel door off. Take it down to your paint supplier & have it scanned with a spectrometer. They may be able to hook you up that way.
