cranks but no start. no lights on dash, code reader will not connect 96 k1500

Engine cranks over but no power to fuel pump and no spark. No lights show up on dash and my code reader will not connect to the ecm. I've tried checking all the grounds but cant find any that are bad, replaced ignition cylinder with no luck and i even ordered a different ecm with no luck...

Help starting truck with no transmission?

I have a 96 Sierra 5.7 and 4l60e, the transmission is out of the pickup and would like to start the engine. Do I need to bypass the neutral safety plug or anything else?
