OK. The calipers for the 1998 K2500 with six lugs are the same as the K1500. Same part number. The K2500 with 8 lugs has a different size caliper with a larger piston. That means to use the larger caliper, the knuckles must be changed. The JB5 drum is 10". the JB6 has 11.1" drums and the JB7...- Tony Lino

All good. GT4! I think I will do the front first and check the results befor doing the back. I alread have changed most of the brake lines to SS. Tow blow outs. Bad news. OK. I think I have a plan. I will use the 9.5 6 lug rear with drums in the back. Then replace the front brakes with rotors and calipers from the front of a heavy half. Thanks- Tony Lino

Do the heavy half front rotors and calipers bolt directly on a K1500? I am thinking the larger rear drums from the heavy half rear and the larger front disc brakes may do what I need.- Tony Lino

I really apprciate the info. Is there anything available with disc brakes 6 lug that will bolt up? Are the drums on that bigger that the 10 bolt rear (I assume that is a 14 bolt)?
