    I'll unhook it in a few and see what happens. By the way does anyone know how to bypass the clutch safety switch? Did it on my 92 but it didn't work on this one. I cut the plug off and spliced both wires but still works like factory.

    Problem is that the wire runs to the headlights and I don't have a multi meter. As far as the sas I'm wanting a off road rig that's why I was leaning towards the sas. I can get around in any weather with a 2 wheel drive

    Okay thanks guys the guy I bought the truck from didn't know anything about it he just knew it was from a later year. He even said that it was a 3/4 ton and I just decoded the vin and it says that it's a 1ton. I didn't know that they made a 1 ton with a semi floating axle.

    Okay I'm sure that this has been gone over before but I'm looking for input on this trying to decide if I should convert my truck to solid axle 4x4 or just buy a older solid axle truck.
