    Engine died doing 70

I just don't have time or a place to work on it or else I would. I love this truck but I need a truck for the job I do and I can't just keep renting one

So towed it back to another shop. Failed leak down and compression tests. They said it was toast. So I will be parting with my truck and move on to something else :'(

    Engine died doing 70

Update. So I replaced the icm and the Egr. Engine fires right up. Once the engine reaches temperature the problems begin. Stumbling back fires. Engine died. Cranks and cranks but will not turn over now. If it cools a min or two it will start but immediately die again

    Stock time

There was a new sierra 4x4 therr also he ran a 15.4 or something. He had 4x4 on which I think hurt him. But half the Honda boys there would've been embarrassed, hell I would have beaten some of them too.

    Engine died doing 70

I will Def check the icm. The mechanic said to have the injectors flow tested but last I saw they did have a nice pattern, no dripping. But I will look again. Thanks for all these great tips guys. I love forums

Ok i haven't pulled the codes but the shop "said" they changed fuel pump and filter. Tps, maf, and distributor module. Never heard of this one. He only charged me for the pump and filter. The symptoms as of now include: Misfires, stumbling while idle, stumbling while driving, sudden gust of...

    Engine died doing 70

Still cutting off. What else can be causing this. It seems the worst when accelerating up a hill. The engine will stumble and sometimes die while moving.

    Stock time

Just in case anyone is wondering. I have a basically stock rcsb c1500. All I did was a high flow filter with no exhaust. System was cut off right behind the cat. It ran a 16.2 at 82 mph in the quarter. Just in case anyone is wondering what a stock truck runs.

Well the fuel pump did not resolve the issue. Still have the stumbling issue. They are doing the tps now.

    Engine died doing 70

I'm thinking the rings because it's only on the electrode. If it were the seals it would be on the body of the plug too. In any case fuel pump and filter is almost done so hopefully it's done and I can move onto to replacing all my front end parts lol.

    Engine died doing 70

Sorry it's a 91 c1500 with the 5.7. I do have to put oil in it every so often I'm not sure where it's leaking because I do not see any puddles or blue smoke. I do have in my number 2 cylinder bad rings because oil is getting on the electrodes of that plug.

    Engine died doing 70

Hi all. I have been a lurker here for awhile but this is my first post. The other day I drove the family from north carolina to Florida basically non stop for 13 hours. At 25 mins from my destination doing 70 the engine just turned off. Got it to the shoulder and it fired right back up but as...
