Another one I'm surprised nobody mentioned: those nasty ugly Range Rover--esque grilles with the headlights that look like a two year old stuck some dot stickers wherever.....
Those were hugely in vogue in the Hispanic community about 10-15 years ago here in greater Houston area, and thankfully I haven't seen one in a while.
This hideous thing

Poor thing's having an identity crisis, apparently. Doesn't know whether it's an OBS or a Plymouth Volare...

Something I want to get off my chest, calling a GMT400 an 'OBS' just sounds so incredibly stupid, THEY ARE NOT OLD!!

I guess that all depends on your frame of reference. 30 years is not that old to me either, but to others it certainly is. Of course, the term originated when the GMT800 was introduced in 1999 to differentiate the NBS from the OBS. Some models you could have a '99 OBS, while others would be a '99 NBS. I'm pretty sure that's the correct etymology. :33:

It just sounds so ignorant, and has always bothered me, with the Ford trucks too. I think the biggest problem is when it's repeated over and over constantly by people who don't know jack **** about the truck.

Etymology sounds right, and it makes sense, in the right context. I'm an old man.

Yes, when I was young, a 30 year old Chevy truck looked like this. And to me, at that time, this truck may as well have been from another century.
