    I just looked at mine, I dont see anything by the oil filer. I cant see behind the distributor w/o climbing into the engine bay and I cant do that right now, but I think it is behind the distributor.

    the engine never rattles or clanks, so I dont think the oil pressure is truly hovering at 0. I did find this, no idea if this guy is legit: anyway, thanks for the ideas. I'll need to do some sleuthing

    yea, this is where I'm confused. Since I have the 700r, how do I get to teh 4l80e? Where does the VSSB go? what other edits need to be made (if any) to the wiring harness since I have the 700r?

    my truck is a 1992, with the 4l60 (not e). I think, after reading of the madness of going from a 700r to a more modern 4l80e, I'd prefer a stouter 700r. I found these guys,wonder how good of a build they do (?)...

    and a wiring harness http://www.nelsonperformance.com/?page_id=850 All I really find are wiring harness for a 1998 and newer 4l60e to 4l80e conversion (ebay has a bunch too), but not my 4l60 to a 4l80e. do such harnesses exist?
