The upstreams are known as bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1.. If your parts guy needs to know.

Downstream o2s monitor the cats. Upsteam o2s are used by pcm for fuel trim. Only replace front ones. In my experience as a auto tech its rarely the o2 sensors. Often its circuit or fueling issues.. o2s can and do wear out get contaminated ect and are vital for proper fuel trim. Are you sure on...

GMT400 You can't quit looking at!

I did one of these swaps for a customer... the ls motor into 96 -99 vortec truck is a wiring nightmare.. that is if u want ABS, cruise, ac.. ect to work.. I bet this is a pic of it during test runnning. YOU dont want to button every thing up jst to have to tear back into it. WAY less hassle to...

Vortec 5700 Camshaft upgrade

BTW... the Ram Jet uses this cam and 1.6 roller rockers with vortec heads. Someone check my math but the cam specs at .451 exhaust lift at the valve with 1.5 rocker ratio when I factor 1.6 rockers I get .481... GM lists max lift for these heads at .475... Iv never got a good solid answer for...

Vortec 5700 Camshaft upgrade

That cam is the one GM uses in the Ram Jet and HT383 motors also the marine L31. Its the roller cam version of an RV cam. Iv installed them in stock motors, they work with factory tune. I have a K&N CAI with the shroud around the filter and could feel the power and throttle response. An old...
