89 C 1500 with a 400 trans from factory??

Thanks to all for the replies. This begs a question: How tough is it to swap out my 400 (3L80) for a 700R4 (4L80) so that I can have overdrive. Thanks

89 C 1500 with a 400 trans from factory??

Hi. I have a stock 89 C 1500 5.7 that apparently was built with a TH 400 transmission instead of a 700R4. I thought all the trucks in this series came with the 700? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. I want to install a grill from a 94 silverado on my 89 truck with seperate, non composite headlights. Does anybody know if this will work? thanks

89 Grill swap

Can anyone tell me if I can put a 94 style grill on my 89 with non composite headlights (the 4 separate ones) I would like to retain the separate lights. Thanks.
