I use 5w30 in winter and 10w30 in summer. There's 210000 miles on it. I never have changed out the oil sending unit. Its that located right by the starter? Because if so it leaks
When my 97 vortec is warmed up and ideling the oil pressure is only about 10-12 psi. This just don't seem right to me. Do you guys have any ideas or fixes to what could be going wrong? What is your oil pressure when ideling?
I jus did a 2inch this weekend and all I used was a floor jack and two 6 by 6s it probably took a total of 8 hours to do everything myself. My impact really helped with loosening up the body bolts. Jus worked them back and fourth till they came out.
Thanks guys that's what I was also leaning towards but wanted to get some second opinions before I tore into it. To be honest its been harder starts and dogish on cold mornings for like a year but has gotten bad enough to worrie about in the last month
Im having long cranking times when the engine is cold. If I cycle the fuel pump a few times it starts better when cold. It fires up farily well when its warm. The fuel pressure is about 54 and surges down to about 46 when running. It also has a miss to it. Any ideas or thoughts would be great.
Id run Ds. I've pulled 2 bobcats on a gooseneck trailer and the Ds never gave me an issue. In my opinion all Es do is give a rougher ride and there's no real use for them
