Your right, maybe I’m thinking of an LS or another gm engine?? I remember my instructor making a comment about all or most pressure losses being prior to the sensor
Stepper mother IAC valves cannot be moved by hand in my experience. They require a driver or some fancy hand/foot working using the ignition switch and factory wiring.
What was your idle speed and have you verified your tach is accurate? Also what is the engine temp. If temp is cool it will...
Only makes a mess of your wrong and the pump is still good ;)
That and I worked on these things for 10 years at a dealer, iv made my fair share of mistakes when it comes to forgetting oil filters, double gaskets ect when I was learning. Doesn’t scare me any more. Mess really isn’t that bad.
You already did that. That port gets pressure last, both crank and cam get pressure prior to that port. The oil filter gets supplied oil right after the pump. Closest point the oil pump without taking anything apart
They make a gauge that threads In place of the oil filter.
Or you could take the filter off of it, put a deep pan under it and have a buddy start it up. If you don’t have any flow within 3 seconds then you have a problem.
It’s not the best method but would work. Obviously somone needs to man...
You could also try putting in really thick oil or a Lucas oil additive just as a temporary measure for testing. If it’s a lifter collapsing, it would probably quiet down
Coming from a New England’ers perspective on the exhaust “smoke,” doesn’t seem thick enough for coolant, looks more like condensation from a cold start. Your running headers so probably no cats, and that will cause more condensation. Did the “smoke” smell sweet and linger down the drive way like...
Also was thinking the noise sounds slow, like 1/4 speed slow which would be valve train. Pull rocker covers off and see if everything is moving like it should while it’s running
That’s a tough one, I was going to say, hey my 4.3 with 325k does the same thing and it’s just a bad lifter.
Until I herd your video, sounds very sad. Honestly can’t tell with the audio quality but certainly need to get a mechanical gauge on that.
If you blip the throttle does it knock as...
2 things here… if it’s getting fuel spray, it should try to run. I’d squirt an educated amount of starting fluid down its throat hole and see if it fires. Just to prove it a fuel problem.
Second, you may have installed plugs 3 months ago but that doesn’t mean they aren’t Fouled for various...
So iv answered my own question and for anyone else that might wounder, it is quite clear the valve on the right will not work due to the larger valve on the left already being installed.
I’m going to order a sonnex valve and see if between that and new fluid/filter if my problem goes away.
If...
I was not able to get the valve out of the sleeve, it’s either stuck or made that way. The only difference between what I have and the pic you supplied
