    Thanks for the reply guys...I've talked myself out of the Tahoe... therefore, no vortec . think I'm just going to carb the TBI and be done with it... just going to be a cruiser hot rod, point a-b(bar hopper?)... decided I don't need to race it or Burn the tires off.... with gas prices and me...

    What and how many miles a year do you tow with your Gmt400?

    I just bought a 94 crew I'm LS swapping with a 6.0/4l80e basically to be my tow vehicle...I looked all around and 3/4 to 1 ton trucks are going for $7500+ in my area...I'm budgeting $5k for the build...paid $1k for the crew cab...that's $5k for the swap/interior, and paint.     I know this is an old thread, but could you give me a rundown of the areas where the spot welds are on each side...I just bought a replacement bed and realized the "new " bed floor and wheel wells are beat up and I'd rather just cut the bedside off and replace my original one...but can't find...
