    700r4 to th400 swap

Hmm. So the computer doesn't rely on a speed sensor (vss signal) or anything to let it know the vehicle is moving or anything for more fueling like the newer fuel injected vehicles? Also, why would I waste another $700 of my money on getting the ****** 700r4 rebuilt again? Lol. The only "fab...

    700r4 to th400 swap

I have a 1990 GMC Sierra with a tbi350/700r4 in it. Had the trans rebuilt back in 2013. All gears still work, but it's never shifted right. I've just kinda dealt with it. But I've been increasingly grown more and more annoyed by it. Lol So I picked up a used and working th400, out of a 1972...

    the 1990 GMC Sierra DD

No more nasty ass red carpet, and 50's aqua paint on the floor. As well as no more stereo and minimal other panels. Plan on eventually painting the dash gray, and and probably making my own door panels to get rid of these ugly red ones... Uhh... Weight reduction? Lol Getting their...

    my bagged 1967 suburban

Here's the idea I was going for when I started this new idea. May clock it 90° to the right so I flips open towards the passengers side. Or 180° so it flips down. But we'll see as I finish it And welded in and mounted... Just need to scotch brite (or sand it) to make it not shiny. Lol Think...

And both mounted to the bumper and "painted" Cut, stretched, welded, and capped one end to use as a mounting surface for the fuel filler cap. Now just gotta grind the welds down and clean it all up, then drill/cut a hole in the center for the fuel hose to run through. I guess that's one way...

Lol. Thanks. And yes it does. Those control arms pushed my track width out a bit farther too. But I don't mind, it looks even better now

Thanks. And yah it's real common for them to start ripping the upper control arm mounts off the frame, especially when you off-road them. Speaking of which, I gotta weld part of the lower rear passanger side one where it's cracked through the factory weld. Lol. And as far as junk yards go...

Well ****... Looks like it's time to put my other/better tach in now. Lol. And I was gonna change this one since was acting up anyways, so no big deal. (ended up just leaving it out and not putting the other one in it). New and better ball joint boots came in today. Now I can install my...
