I have some gmt400 forged lowers coming. Hopefully. Going to see if they are straight and clean and if not I’ll have to find another pair.
Seems like the bushings might be different from the stamped to forged though. I have poly ones so hopefully they fit.
Here it is, minimal difference. I see ford ranger factory torsion bars with worse spacing them this when I was searching the problem.
Again, pictures upside down.

It’s actually a 99 2500 Silverado part I’m using (at least that’s what I remember the search coming up as), so maybe that’s where the size comes in. Honestly it’s not enough to worry about but I’m not the kind of person to put something together like that.
but then again I guess it was...
I ran into an issue with the stamped lower control arms on my 99 OBS Tahoe. They allowed for almost zero suspension travel with the new one piece subframe.
I bought dorman forged lower control arms and now the hex is larger on the control arm and the torsion bar is a bit loose in it.

Yes you can see on the glass where the rust is leaking. Seems like it’s separating the seal from the window, but im not sure if there is a metal track within the seal. Same thing happens on my audi door blades. Salt gets in the metal insert and makes it swell splitting the rubber. I'm just being...
What do you think about that rust popping through, seal or window frame? I’m not going to pull it this time of the year.. 10 below where I am and a foot of snow the other day
So I have been looking for answers for replacing the seal on my 99 Tahoe’s side quarter window. With no luck. From what it seems the side window outer seal is part of the window. Does that mean it comes out and can be reused? I potentially have some rust I want to fix but it’s in an odd spot...
Arizona truck... Even got the cats out without breaking anything. But I will be spraying with pb anyway. Started to rust bullet the rest of the frame where I won't be welding.
I ordered a tuff country kit and getting Bilstein 5100 for it with a hellwig load helper. More than likely not going to start on this until spring, it's to damn cold here.
Going to box my frame and do a 6.0 and 4l80 swap as well. Hopefully won't have to fix any rust around that window.
This is the only real thing I was worried about on the truck. Couldn't find anything online on it, but it looks like the window seal is rusting. Nothing on the truck. It's a clean Arizona truck other than where they scraped the shop sticker off the door and they replaced the passenger door and...
I know, I have had them on a truck before. Except making it go in the opposite direction of a lift. Going to order tonight and the Bilsteins also. If nothing else at least I will have a mostly fresh suspension.
I checked how far you are from me, 4 1/2 hours. Stuck up here in the north country...
