PROGRESS Today I pulled the engine from the Big Blue Turd. Look at the shortys I scored! I also got the whole front clip on White Thunder removed (fenders outer and inner, hood, grille, bumper, core support). After about 8 months I found White Thunders new body White Thunder is a 1993, the body I found is a 1990 Chevrolet Scottsdale. So far I have deemed it The Big Blue Turd, my girl calls it Huckleberry Hound. I will leave that to you folks to decide... I just got The Big Blue Turd on 2/27/19...- JFISHTHECREATOR

White Thunder is dead... Dad was using the truck as a means of transportation. He had parked it at work. While at work, a group of 5 very old foreigners crashed into it and well totaled it. No power to horn
Updating this, I traced it to a burnt wire in the column. I just wired the horns to a toggle switch on the knee pad.- JFISHTHECREATOR

I recently bought a 1994 1 ton Cheyenne RCLB Dually 6.5TD 2wd. It previously was a utility truck, PO cut and welded frame(poorly) and put a regular bed on. Having issues with the oil cooler "quick dis-connect" fittings... they ain't dis-connecting quick enough! Anyways, I finished installing the gas tank and fuel pump and she fired right up. I'm currently doing some decent work to the truck. My gas tank would leak, and i just never over filled it to prevent that. Then my fuel pump went out. Radiator needs replaced, I have gotten a used radiator(~6MO) from a friend who was parting out his OBS. But now I have a hefty oil leak. Its about 2.5qts a week maybe more... only leaks while running. I'm thinking Rear Main , or the oil filter adapter gasket.- JFISHTHECREATOR

My " new " transmission took a dump. No forward or reverse gears. From what I've read it would be the torque converter trashing the trans fluid pump , or the output shaft being trashed. Either way, I might go pick up a 40,000 mile 4l60e for $250 today.... and then take the pump from the original...- JFISHTHECREATOR

AH so my Z71 is in fact a HD1500 , sweet. Yes I have checked the fuses and none are blown... Which ground circuits do those function off of. I know the body ground right by the battery, the ground at the T-stat housing, and the block of grounds on the firewall.- JFISHTHECREATOR

Picked up a 1993 Cheyenne 2wd for $1200. Has 350 tbi , 4l60e , and 263,000 miles. Gray exterior , tan interior. currently in my school shop for repairs(by me of course) - used trans (4l60e 123K miles), windshield wiper motor(used), gauge cluster (123k), remove cat convertor - 3" pipe to thrush...- JFISHTHECREATOR

sorry for such a late reply. But thank you , I agree. As far as cleaning the sludge, I just got all that I could get out major, and sprayed brake clean on a towel and wiped it out.- JFISHTHECREATOR

It's not leaking from the end tanks from what I can see. It leaks on the bottom somewhere, I had the hood open and was watching as i revved , and it got a small puddle on the lower fan shroud after a few seconds.
