you said engine was fine . with that many miles i would replace the oil pump, clock the rear main seal,
replace pan gasket, put rest back together. you ‘re only going to drive
it 2-3 k miles per year anyway.
i don’ t know if your truck still has a module in the distributor,
but my 87 had the same problem, and had to replace it. CHECK
for spark b4 you do anything else.
i am still debating. i am leaning toward a fleet side short box.
i sold a 87 silverado short box fleet side last year , real niice shape.
now i think i want a 88-98 model. not real fond of a
stepside.
i’ m retired too. truck is a silverado, 350, auto,4x4,like new int,
new tires and chrome wheels, chrome trim is good, new tonneau
cover. runs good. older man bought it new and lately passed
away. looks as new.sorry, no pics yet.
have a chance to buy a 93 stepside. excellent shape . looks like new. one owner. 175 k miles.
orig red. $6,000. are these stepsides worth this money? or should i look for a fleet side short box?
or any other suggs.
