    I am getting the truck for $2000, and I am expecting to have the entire trans rebuilt. Labor is 9 hours at $110 an hour. In my current Toyota 5spd I use Lucas oil. So far 170K miles and all original equipment, no issues. I was hoping newer fluid in this old girl could simply make it work...

    I was thinking the Red Line 75W85 GL4 would suffice. $72.95 a gallon. I wonder if it's worth it to drain, and fill to see if it helps. Oh yea Rockauto stocks the ACDelco stuff, $17 each or $16 each if you buy 6.

    Paying to have it shipped. While it does run and drive I don't have the time to do all that traveling. And the quotes I got for shipping $600, and $700, isn't bad in my opinion. Just waiting to figure the dates out.

    Hello! On other forums in the past they would allow you to change the "Post" count per page. Now on this forum I'm stuck at 10 posts per page. On other forums you could enable 100, or unlimited. 20 is a nice sweet spot. How can I do that on this website?

    Well it does say the paint code was 50U which if you google comes up as Ultra White or Bright White. That had me worried for a minute if it was repainted. Figured it was wrong.
