Thanks thats what i was considering im actually a welder so i should be able to make em work as well.. i make custom stuff for my vehicles here and there
Thanks for the insight contacting the guy i got the engine from to see if he still has the transmission!! So i won't need the transfer case that comes with the 6l90
But how much did that cost and is yours a 4x4 mine is i imagine it would be alot alot of.work to make.it work! I could be wrong and jdkustomz told me.i need a gen 4 6.0/4l80e harness if i wanna up to a 4l80e
Right now i got a quote for 4700 lq9 installed using my 4l60 trans i bought the l96 with 12 thousand miles for 2k the owner still has the trans.and trasnfer case 1k for both so im just wondering how much would the l96 cost to integrate into my truck.with the stock for now an later upgrade to...

Also i will be using my stock 4l60 transmission and when it gives out will get it beefed up to hold out... thats another concern because there is an engine harness off the 6.0 that went into the 4l90 transmission it had will that be a big issue as well since the 4l60 works only off stock ecu
Just purchased an l96 6.0 engine with 12.5k miles and i wanted to swap it into a 1997 k1500 4x4 that originally has the 350 vortec in it..
Ls swap shop in houston tells me to sell the notor and get an Lq9 because its less of a headache for the swap but also that the L96 engines are shot??
Any...
