Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with 275/70 16s. Yokohama Geos all season tread. 16x8 rims with a -12 offset. It fits the look I was going for and they drive like a dream. Just gotta paint the rear drums black.

Installed a rough country 2” lift to my 1990 C1500. It came stock with 235/75-15s. I want to buy new rims and tires. Definitely want a quiet all season tread. I’m looking for ideas/advice on what larger size tires will fit now. Originally, I wanted to stick with 15” steel black D holes and...

Yes. It wasn’t possible to compress spring without come along strapping. Jack raised the truck off the Jack stands way before control arm got close to ball joint.

I’d be lost without that come along! Chain around floor and come along connects chain to frame. Allows floor jack to compress lower control arm.

Just finished install on rough country 2” lift kit. New front springs, ball joint spacers, rear axle wedges. Not too bad a job for the driveway. Key was chaining floor jack to frame in order to compress lower control arm without lifting truck off jack stands. Now it’s time to figure out rims...

Wow! Your truck is beautiful! Love the wheels! Reminds me a lot of my 85 C20 (my last build). Mine was navy blue too. What size are rims and tires are on it?

Thanks. Here in NY and most of the Northeast my experience has been that the long beds were always work trucks which led them to used and abused. Short beds were used as cruisers and taken care of.
