99 Yukon failed emissions test.

99 Yukon 5.7 Old girl failed colo's emission test yesterday, twice. Failed due to high NOx-gpm. After First fail I changed out the egr valve (internet info pointed at that) Second test still a fail but it did have a lower NOx-gpm figure, just not enough to pass. My code readers generic, just...

Have not tried it in any other gear other than drive, when our weather gets hot again I will try it in other selections and see what happens.

98 Extra cab side window hinge broke...

Just discovered I have a broken top window hinge on the passenger side window, 98 extra cab. How do you go about repairing this? Looks like plastic? Quick fix? Modified fix? Never done one of these.... Looked online and found this diagram of the parts, need the peice between numbers 5 and 4...

Aluminum driveshafts for Suburban

First time I was underneath my 98 K2500 I saw the big aluminum drive shaft. At first I though it was a custom shaft but why aluminum? Buddy of mine told me nope quite a few have them from the factory. This ones big and no carbon fiber cover. Still kind of a WOW thing in my eyes!

The Member Truck Thread

New to the group. Colorado. Last month picked up this 98 K2500 Cheyenne. Had a blown engine, replaced it with a donor 5.7 out of a tahoe. Gets down the road just fine, now just fixing the little interior and cosmetic issues. Enjoying the ride! Also have a 99 Tahoe and a 99 Yukon. Great rigs!
