Got a bit more progress done today. Pass side is pretty much done. Have to drill out a couple of wholes on front bracket and put bolts through but its in there. Tomorrow (if it doesn't rain) will be knocking out the drivers side. Ended up using the plasma cutter to punch through the wholes...

I am doing the SAS with the same ORD kit on my 99K2500 Suburban 7.4. When I cut off the mounts for the IFS and saw the indention where the frame has a step in and was wondering how that shock tower would work. What plate did you use? That looks really good!
The kit I am using is from Off Road Design. If you are using the stock leaf springs from 73-87 it works with your existing bolt holes for the brackets. You will have to drill a few holes with a 1/2" drill bit but other than that it is a bolt in set up. Very well built and heavy duty...
We used a cut off wheel for the pass side and after using about 15 wheels on it I went and bought a plasma cutter from Harbor Freight for $400 and it cut the time in half! Really worked surprisingly well. Next we will be bolting the brackets on and mounting the springs. Had to remove 2 of the...
Fortunately I was not going very fast. Managed somehow for it to hold together to get back 1/2 mile to the house and then it fell apart at home. I was lucky!
