While replacing the stereo, I noticed this plug is pretty melted. Anyone have an idea what this might go to and what would cause it?
Forgot to mention that this is a 1989 c1500 single cab with lm7/4l60e swap if that helps.
Im coming from a wheezy 330k mile 5.0 tbi with tons of blow by so this build will definitely be an improvement.

So my rear axle tubes are pretty rusty, the only place it leaks is the cover which I'm sure it's time to change the fluid (if there is any). Would it even be worth it to mess with it? I have a welder and I'm not afraid to put another rear end in. It's mostly on the ends where the backing plates...
I run a tad thicker oil (10w-40) in my L67 in my Regal only because it's getting up there in miles and the oil pump is getting tired, and lots of city driving I do notice about a 8-10 psi of oil pressure increase once it's hot. Though with leaking valve stem seals like you have, it isn't going...
